Being a member of the Elks is a privilege and an honor. Membership is limited to US citizens who profess a belief in God and have never been a member of the communist party or any other organization advocating the overthrow of the US Government.
You can obtain a membership application at the lodge during its hours of opperation, or from a current member in good standing. Once you have completed the application, return it to the lodge for consideration. Your candidacy will be announced to the rest of the lodge members, your background is investigated, and then your candidacy is voted on. If you are accepted as a member you will be required to undergo a short indoctrination about what it means to be an elk and then you will be initiated at a scheduled lodge meeting.
