July 29, 2010 our lodge hosted a blood drive with the help of the Heartland Blood Center. We had 12 volunteers attend to give donations. We were able to collect 12 units of blood.
The goal for the drive was to have 20 people attend. With summer vacation and Heartland scheduling 7 blood drives in 11 days in Woodstock, we fell short of our goal.
I would like to thank all those who participated in the blood drive, with special thanks to Jim Bollatti. I would also like to thank Member Ralph Ritter who, even though he gave at another drive in June, got the word out and helped bring donors to the drive. The next drive is unscheduled. As soon as I have a date I will let everyone know.
