During the 2010 mid-winter meeting of the Illinois Elks Association the Illinois Elks again assembled almost 800 packages to send to the brave members of Illinois Reserve and National Guard serving in Irag and Afghanistan. The Woodstock lodge was asked to supply can openers for our troops. Through the efforts and contributions of our members we were able to locate a supplier and purchase a supply of P51 Hand-held Can Openers as shown on the left. These can openers are a larger, sturdier version of the original P38 can openers supplied to our troops during WWII and the Korean War.
Woodstock Lodge 1043 is happy and proud to participate in this important support of our men and women serving their country.
